Important Dates (Tentative): Availability of Application Forms: 3rd week of November 2010-1st week of January 2011 Last date of Submission of Application Form: 4th week of January, 2011 Written Entrance Examination: 3rd week of February, 2011 Declaration of Written Examination Result: 1st week of April 2011 Situation Test / GD / Interviews: April - May, 2011 Declaration of Final Results (Masters programme): mid of June, 2011 Eligibility criteria:For Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech*): A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination. Candidates with a 3 or 4 year diploma recognised by AICTE or State Board of Technical Educations can also apply. *For B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) candidates should have additionally PCM in class 12th. For Master of Design (M.Des)/Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.): Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or Design/Diploma from NID/NIFT. National Institute of Fashion Technology is a premier institute for design management and technology and conducts an entrance exam to give opportunities to the various aspirants who are interested in fashion designing courses. Here we have Important Dates and some other Information for NIFT 2011 Exams.
This time XAT 2011 will be conducted on 2nd January 2011 in 33 Indian cities; Test Timings will be: 2 ½ hours. The test is to multiple choice type which will be of 2 hours duration followed by an additional test which is of 20 minutes duration. The format of the additional test may range from an open-ended essay or a multiple-choice type. Results will be available on the website by 31st January 2011. XAT scores will be used by more than 70 Indian B Schools including
