Nitin Gadkari is the new BJP President.He is the successor of Rajnath Singh.Presently,Nitin Gadkari is the chief of BJP's Maharashtra unit.He is the youngest president of Bhartya Janata Party till date and first one from Maharashtra.

Nitin Gadkari was born on 27 May,1957 in Nagpur,India.He did his M.com,L.L.B and D.B.M from Maharashtra,India.During his teen age,he worked for student union of ABVP.He was the Minister of Public Works Department of Govt. of Maharashtra from 1995 to 1999.He upgraded the PWD department and supported the Privatization.He established Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation and played an important role in the development of infrastructure of Maharashtra.After that Union Government appointed him as Chairman of National Rural Road Development Committee and because of his efforts rural road connecting scheme now popularly known as Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana was launched. He was honored by Mumbai Bhushan Award.

 

Nitin Gadkari is also an Industrialist and an agriculturist.According to him, politics is not the career for him  but it is an instrument of socio-economic reforms to bring about a change in the lives of the poor and the downtrodden.I think he is the new hope for sinking power of BJP.Let's see weather he will be able to change the poor thinking and old concepts of BJP or not.Whether he will be able to face Rahul Gandi or not?
