I Dream of Jeannie is a 1960s American sitcom with a faintasy premise.It was produced by Sidney Sheldon.The show was inspired by the movie "The Brass Bottle",Staring Tony Randall,Barbara Eden and Burl lves as genie Fakrash. Sydney Sheldon came up with idea of female character genie and produced the TV show "I dream of Jeannie".He casted Barbara Eden as a 2000 year old female main character genie and Larry Hagman as an astronaut.  The show was telecasted for the first time in September, 1965 on American TV channel NBC and continued till May 1970.Total 139 episodes were produced in 5 seasons.First 30 episodes were filmed Black & White and reaming 109 episodes were filmed in color.Also,the show had been telecasted in India on Sony.
