Last night for the first time in IPL Season 3, the implementation of super over was done in a Tie match between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings.And finally Kings XI Punjab won the match.Chennai Super King scored 9 runs in the super over and kings XI Punjab scored 10 runs in 5 balls at the loss of 1 wicket.

Super over is implemented when there is a Tie between two teams.Following are the rules of Super Over:

(1) The team playing second will bat first.
(2) Three players will selected to bat with one bowler.
(3) If you loose 2 wicket then you loose the game.
(4) The team which scores more runs wins that match.
(5) If both teams scores equal, the team with most number of boundary sixes throughout the entire match wins
(6) If still equal, the team with most number of boundaries throughout the entire match wins
(7) If still equal, the team taking the most wickets throughout the entire match wins
(8) If still equal, a count-back from the final ball of the Super Over eliminator shall be conducted. The team with the higher scoring delivery shall be the winner.
(9) If still equal, by coin toss.

After playing series with west indies, India will go on tour of australia in december 2011. It will be a long tour of approximate 4 months. India will play 4 test matches and 2 T20 matches against australia. Then commonwealth bank series against australia and sri lanka.
