For those who are beginners and don't know what favicon is for a blog or site then take a look at the pic given below.  You can also creat a favicon yourself for your blog or site by following simple steps: (1) Make an picture or icon for your blog( web site) using MSpaint or any other software and Save it as *.jpg" or *.gif". (2) Now you have to convert your picture or logo into icon format( i.e from *.jpg or *.gif to .ico format), for that just go to favicon generator web sites.Some favicon generator sites are: http://faviconsfor.us/ http://www.favicongenerator.com/
http://www.favicon.cc/ http://antifavicon.com/ Go to the site, browse your image and click on convert. Afterwards you can download your converted icon from there to your desktop. (3) Now upload that favicon.ico to any ftp website or googlepages. (here flickr and photo bucket doesn't work because the picture is in icon format ) (4) Now open the template and add this code just after the <head> tag <link href='your icon URL here' rel='icon' type='image/x-icon'/> <link href='your icon URL here' rel='shortcut icon' type='image/x-icon'/> (5) Replace your icon URL here by the URL of your logo (i.e uploaded icon url) and finally save the template.
