Youtube has launched youtu.be as a shortener for Youtube Video links.This shortner transfers your long youtube video url into much shorter url.The main reason behind this shortener is to make video sharing easy on social network sites which allows limited character submission.This will make easy to share youtube video on Facebook Twitter,digg and so many other sites. The trend of launching shortners has increased in last few months.This is because of the limited character messaging on social networking sites.Specially,Twitter,which allows limited character in a message.Facebook and Google has also launched their shortners. fb.me is the shortner of Facebook,which has been designed for mobile devices. goo.gl is the Google shortner.But these are not available yet. You can make your youtube url shorter manually.You have to just replace the "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=" with "http://youtu.be/" in your youtube url.For example, In url "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLC-DGiPBRU" replace "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=" with "http://youtu.be/" and your shorter url is "http://youtu.be/vLC-DGiPBRU" .

You can receive the hotmail alerts as text massages (SMS). The best feature of this service is there is no need of GPRS connection.
